This is an excerpt page from a patient education booklet entitled Taking Care of My Body and Mind: a guide for women living with HIV. This chapter’s purpose is to teach women living with HIV about speaking with a doctor about mood or cognitive problems and how different mental health professional can help. These pages explain how doctors not only consider their patients physical health but also consider their psycholgical health and life and social situation when making diagnoses and treatment decisions.
